Mairead Rooney

I’ve worked in the fitness industry for 15 years. I’ve seen many trends come and go from step aerobics to circuits to strength and conditioning watching poor technique and over training lead to injury. I tried many ways to re educate and learn how my body moves and what it responds to.

I found pilates and was inspired by my anatomy tutor to try STOTT. I loved it and found it the most inclusive way to rehab or strengthen over all. Its not aggressive or intimidating anyone can do it and work at their own level and pace. It can be as easy or hard as you like. I love teaching as it gives everyone confidence. All shapes.. all sizes.. all abilities. I’m passionate about letting people see how great they are and what they can do. Small steps… no pressure just feel good. Have a bit of a laugh wile doing it.

I love anything with legs but my least favourite would be the side kick series. My glutes hate it.. I have a love hate relationship with teasers and my favourite would be short spine and mermaid.

I have Nfq level 6 with university of limerick.
